Frequently Asked Questions

How much mulch do I need?

1

It is recommended to mulch at a depth of at least 2”. You want to have enough mulch to suppress weeds and benefit your plants, but too much can get moldy and compacted.

Do you remove old mulch?

2

Generally, we leave the existing mulch so that it can continue to decompose and benefit your soil, however, if there is a lot of build-up, we may recommend removing the existing mulch before adding fresh mulch on top.

How often should I mulch my property?

3

Most customers mulch their property once per year, either in the Spring or Fall.
